How to Fix Your Amazon Fire TV Stick Remote
Introduction
If you're experiencing issues with your Amazon Fire TV Stick remote, it's worth resetting your remote to potentially fix those issues. This should work for the Alexa Voice Remote Pro, the third-generation Fire TV remote, and the second-generation Fire TV remote.
Unplug and Replug
The first step is to unplug your Fire TV from the power supply and HDMI input, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug your Fire TV back in and wait for it to boot up. Once it's booted up, try using your remote again.
Replace the Batteries
If unplugging and replugging your Fire TV didn't work, the next step is to replace the batteries in your remote. Make sure you're using the correct type of batteries, and that they're fresh.
Reset Your Remote
If replacing the batteries didn't work, you can try resetting your remote. To do this, press and hold the Home button and the Menu button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The LED on your remote will blink orange, and then it will turn solid white when the reset is complete.
Contact Amazon Customer Service
If you've tried all of the above steps and your remote is still not working, you can contact Amazon Customer Service for help. They may be able to provide you with further troubleshooting steps, or they may be able to replace your remote.
